Allusion


an expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it explicitly; an indirect or passing reference. Allusion can be used in a song or poetry and many other things. 
According to  https://literarydevices.net/allusion/  , Allusion is a brief and indirect reference to a person, place, thing or idea of historical, cultural, literary or political significance.

Allusion example:
Woke up feeling like a new James Dean
Comb my hair like an old school Sheen
Feeling high like a late night summer from last year
Standing there with a red dress on you
A killer queen like the young Jane Fonda
Is it me or am i just having a good year?
- Cool (Jonas Brothers)
Meaning:
This song tells us about a man who is very proud and feeling cool that time. He mentioned James Dean to say that he feels as cool as him. James Dean was a 1950s actor who is very famous and attractive.
Beside of that, he also 8said that his partner was "A killer queen like the young Jane Fonda". Jane Fonda is a very famous and beautiful female actress. Meaning, he thought that his partner was as fascinating as Jane Fonda.

Social Media can be used for good purposes, like making social campaigns, sharing important news, spreading awareness, etc. Beside that, social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter could help teens feel more connected to friends and loved ones especially during this time of pandemic. But, despite all that, social media can be a place of cyberbullies. That is why teenagers should use social media wisely by not posting offensive statements and negative comments. There are also teenagers that are addicted to social media, which causes them to spend less time doing healthy activities and disconnected from the real world.

In this occasion, there will be lots of things related to culture. why do i choose cultural diversity as a theme? because i think cullture is very important and i think that our generation has a lack of knowledge related to culture.
