 Butterfly

Butterfly is one of my favorite animal
. I love butterfly because i think it is a beautiful creature. I love it's colorful wings. Butterfly is from animalia kingdom, arthropoda phylum, insecta class, and lepidoptera order.

Butterflies have the four-stage insect life cycle. The adults will lay eggs on a plant.Butterfly eggs are fixed to a leaf with a special glue which hardens rapidly. Butterfly eggs are protected by an outer layer of shell, called the chorion. This is lined with a thin coating of wax that prevents the egg from drying out. The eggs will hatch, and then the caterpillars will come out. Caterpillars, consume leaves and spend all of their time eating food. Most caterpillars are herbivores but there are some that feed on other insects The caterpillars will grow and become pupates. when the metamorphosis is complete, the pupal skin will splits and the adult butterfly will come out. After it's wings dried, the adult butterfly will fly away.

The body of a butterfly, like all insects, are divided into three sections. The first section is the head, the second section is the thorax, and the third section is the abdomen. beside those three sections, butterfly has an antennae. the antennae is used to sense the air for wind and scents. The antennae come in various shapes and colours. The antennae are richly covered with sensory organs known as sensillae. Butterflies feed on nectars on flowers to obtain sugar for energy, but sometimes they eat tree sap, rotting fruits, decaying flesh, etc. Adult butterflies consume only liquids.

Butterflies are everywhere except Antartica. Many butterflies migrate for a long time and distance, for example, the monarch, the painted lady, and several danaine migrates for a long distance. These migrations take place over a number of generations. It has been shown that the British painted lady undertakes a 9,000-mile round trip in a series of steps by up to six successive generations, from tropical Africa to the Arctic Circle.

The word butterfly is from old english butorfleoge. Culturally, butterflies are inspirations for visual arts and literatures. Many patterns in clothes or dresses are inspired by butterfly. the brilliantly coloured image of the butterfly was carved into many temples, buildings, and jewellery. Butterflies are widely used in objects of art and jewellery: mounted in frames, embedded in resin, displayed in bottles, laminated in paper, and used in some mixed media artworks and furnishings. Not just the butterfly, even the caterpillar gave inspirations in literature and art.
